Hypertension in Elective HBOT: From Threshold Derivation to a Practical Bedside Pathway

Objectives.

1. Describe the hemodynamic effects of hyperbaric oxygen therapy on blood pressure and identify patients at increased risk during elective treatment.

2. Present the UHN day-of-treatment BP pathway (Proceed / Individualize / Defer) and the cohort data supporting its thresholds.

3. Discuss integration of this pathway into the OnHMS Practice Advisory and its implications for hyperbaric practice across Ontario.
