UHN Introductory Course in Hyperbaric Medicine

University Health Network – Toronto General Hospital is pleased to be offering a 40-hour introductory course in Hyperbaric Medicine.

• Approved by the Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society (UHMS) for 40 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™ for physicians
• Recognized by the National Board of Diving and Hyperbaric Medical Technology (NBDHMT) as an approved introductory CHT® training course for 40 CME credits
• Healthcare providers may pursue certification as a Certified Hyperbaric Technologist® (CHT®) with the NBDHMT after course completion and obtaining 480 hours of clinical placement
• CHT® certification qualifying pathways include: Respiratory Therapist, Physician Assistant, Active Duty Military Corpsman, EMT/Paramedic, Registered Nurse or RPN, Nurse Practitioner and Physicians
• Gain understanding of how Hyperbaric Therapy may benefit patients in a clinical environment
• Faculty consists of UHN Hyperbaric Medicine Unit physicians, Registered Respiratory Therapists (RRT) and Certified Hyperbaric Technologists®
